THE festival, THE kick-off to International Women's Day.
JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN which translates to “Beyond Carnations and Pralines”, was founded in 2015 and presents female* artists/MCs and the musical style of choice is HipHop, Rap but mixed with all kind of music genres.

In 2021we opened a new chapter in concert and streaming history in the vastness of the Internet with the JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN festival - a real interactive live stream. Despite Corona, amazing acts could perform in a row in front of a cheering, dancing audience. The audiance could get into the club via their webcams. Projected on large screens in the clubroom, they became visible and audible to the artists.

Mit seinem vierten, im heimatlichen Dakar produzierten Album Teranga könnte es dem in Paris lebenden Gitarristen gelingen, weit über die französische World Jazz-Szene hinaus wahrgenommen zu werden. Die musikalische Mixtur ist eigenwillig, virtuos und zugleich stimmig. Sie bringt westafrikanische und afrobrasilianische Rhythmen zusammen, verknüpft sie zeitweise mit Hip-Hop, dem Charme der Griot Music, radikal bearbeiteten Jazz-Klassikern und Pop-Impressionen. Beim Modern Jazz-Klassiker „Giant-Step“ schließlich gelingt es Samb sogar, die Saiten noch schneller zu zupfen als es John Coltrane mit den Klappen seines Saxophons vermochte. “Jazz Sabar“ könnte man diesen Stil vielleicht nennen, mit dem Hervé Samb sein Herkunftsland ehrt und das Publikum auf eine musikalische Reise in den Senegal einlädt.

It is a world music festival; the largest alternative music festival en the Caribbean, which has established itself as a reference for lover of good music. It is a space for meeting and exchange. It has received the presence of more than 100 artists from 30 nations. It is celebrated in the month of March.

Festival Raiz
It is a project of a traditional nature, dedicated to music with traditional Mozambican roots, with a view to rescuing, preserving, enhancing and disseminating the cultural diversity rooted in Mozambique and the region, promoting reflection and discussion of the arts around tradition and intangible heritage Mozambique and its transformations. Furthermore, it is a platform for artists, academic musicians, ethnomusicologists, researchers etc, which develop cultural and creative industries for local and international promotion. It is also a proposal to boost the traditional music sector at national and international level, in search of sustainable development.
Festival Raiz takes place in the form of several multifaceted activities, with the promotion of ethnic and traditional music concerts, workshops on the construction of traditional instruments, lectures and debates, exhibition of ethnographic films, artistic residencies of creation and musical composition, through the fusion of traditional, modern or electronic instruments, bringing together artists from the region and the world.

Promotion and commercialization of cultural and tourist products and services of excellence in homage to the Trova Trinitaria with local troubadours and international guests.

OuTonalidades - Portuguese live music circuit
From September to March, in multiple venues in Portugal.

The Jazz & World Music Showcase, which is organised by the Cultural Services of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Cyprus Music Information Centre and Rialto Theatre, The primary objective of the Showcase is the presentation, encouragement and promotion of Cypriot composers and musicians, as well as the enhancement of their communication with the audience.

Um convite a abracarmos a diversidade do munod e a cuidar da Terra como Casa Comum” by João Madureira and text by José Tolentino Mendonça “Te Deum em louvor da Paz” by Eurico Carrapatoso.
