The Islamic Culture & Relations Organization is organizing the Arbaeen International Award for the eighth successive year. The competition goal is to present the spiritual capacity of this unique event. Arbaeen is the fortieth day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as). On this occasion, millions of pilgrims gather in the city of Karbala where the Imam's holy shrine is located. The entire event represents a spiritual and emotional journey involving pilgrims from all around the world.
The Arbaeen Award is organized in several categories:
- Photography and documentary.
- Travelogue
- Written works or translations
The awards are given out on September 26, 2022.
