The competition goal is to present the spiritual capacity of this unique event. Arbaeen is the fortieth day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as). On this occasion, millions of pilgrims gather in the city of Karbala where the Imam's holy shrine is located. The entire event represents a spiritual and emotional journey involving pilgrims from all around the world.

The contemporary world is filled with competing knowledge claims, some that challenge the basic tenets of Islamic belief. It is extremely important for the Muslim community to develop the appropriate intellectual tools to engage with alternative philosophical perspectives in an open and constructive way, while maintaining a commitment to authentic Islamic teachings. This international symposium will be a significant milestone in furthering research into Islamic theories of knowledge.

The conference is organized in conjunction with the “Islamic Philosophy in Conversation” working group. The conference aligns itself with the goals of the working group, and therefore seeks to highlight the work of a diverse group of scholars, including emerging scholars of Islamic philosophy, as well as those who identify as female, non-binary, or as belonging to a historically-marginalized group.

The conference will include three traditional panels (15-20 minutes per presenter) open to the public, as well as longer sessions workshopping the papers of two emerging scholars which will be limited to participants and members of the Islamic Philosophy in Conversation Working Group. Additionally, we will hold a limited discussion of a primary text in translation, as well as a public keynote lecture, both led by Dr. Lara Harb.

In the course of the event we will focus on the individual protagonists who embarked on the study of the Qur’an and Islam, and whose approaches were often conditioned by their personal sensitivity, intellectual and religious sympathies, as well as by the professions they exercised: travelers, priests, polemicists, linguists and scholars of grammar, theologians, missionaries and diplomats. Furthermore, we will highlight how the study of the Qur’an and Islam has often been conditioned by issues of a religious nature internal to Christianity (the Reformation), as well as by philosophical and political questions (the Ottoman Empire).

The event will be held both in presence in Rome and online.

We have to thank the Fatimids! Not only did they rule over an empire that stretched across Ifrīqiya and beyond from 909–1171 CE, but they also provided the Islamic world with some of the most heroic, colourful and pluralistic leaders (the Imam-Caliphs). They left behind great military and religious monuments (the mosques of al-Azhar, al-Ḥākim, al-Aqmar in Cairo, among others) and were the patrons and inspiration for great works of literary production. Archaeology has unearthed masterpieces of ceramics, ṭirāz, and decorative ivory work that once decorated the great palaces of these Imam-Caliphs in Cairo.

“The European Qur’ān” (EuQu: https://euqu.eu/) is an ongoing project funded by a Synergy Grant of the European Research Council (ERC), dedicated to the important place of the Muslim holy book in European cultural and religious history. From the 12th century to the 19th, European Christians read the Qur’ān in Arabic, translated it into Latin, Greek and various vernacular languages, refuted it in polemical treatises, and mined it for information about Islam and Arab history. The “European Qur’ān”, in its various manifestations (Arabic editions, Latin and vernacular translations) should be conceived as scholarly efforts to understand Islam; as weapons in polemical exchanges between divergent versions of Christianity; as financial ventures on the part of printers and publishers; and as tools for the understanding of Semitic languages, Arab history and culture, and the history of monotheism.

The team that leads the project —Mercedes García-Arenal, John Tolan, Roberto Tottoli, Jan Loop— with their respective units in Madrid, Nantes, Naples and Copenhagen, will be dealing with various aspects of the transmission, translation, uses and study of the Qur’ān in Europe, on the role the Qur’ān played in debates about European cultural and religious identities, and more broadly about the place of the Qur’ān in European culture.

THE festival, THE kick-off to International Women's Day.
JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN which translates to “Beyond Carnations and Pralines”, was founded in 2015 and presents female* artists/MCs and the musical style of choice is HipHop, Rap but mixed with all kind of music genres.

In 2021we opened a new chapter in concert and streaming history in the vastness of the Internet with the JENSEITS VON NELKEN UND PRALINEN festival - a real interactive live stream. Despite Corona, amazing acts could perform in a row in front of a cheering, dancing audience. The audiance could get into the club via their webcams. Projected on large screens in the clubroom, they became visible and audible to the artists.

Mit seinem vierten, im heimatlichen Dakar produzierten Album Teranga könnte es dem in Paris lebenden Gitarristen gelingen, weit über die französische World Jazz-Szene hinaus wahrgenommen zu werden. Die musikalische Mixtur ist eigenwillig, virtuos und zugleich stimmig. Sie bringt westafrikanische und afrobrasilianische Rhythmen zusammen, verknüpft sie zeitweise mit Hip-Hop, dem Charme der Griot Music, radikal bearbeiteten Jazz-Klassikern und Pop-Impressionen. OuTonalidades - Portuguese live music circuit

The Jazz & World Music Showcase, which is organised by the Cultural Services of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, Cyprus Music Information Centre and Rialto Theatre, The primary objective of the Showcase is the presentation, encouragement and promotion of Cypriot composers and musicians, as well as the enhancement of their communication with the audience.

The 44th Estoril Lisbon Festival concluded on 28 July and dedicated its programme to the European Year of Cultural Heritage, and 100 years after the First World war. Themes such as solidarity and conflicts that are part of our human life were addressed. Two new commissions were programme “Requiem pela Aurora de Amanhã” with the lines “Um canto de Paz. Um convite a abracarmos a diversidade do munod e a cuidar da Terra como Casa Comum” by João Madureira and text by José Tolentino Mendonça “Te Deum em louvor da Paz” by Eurico Carrapatoso. The biggest difference of the Izmir European Jazz Festival is that it is educational. Artists who come to the festival to give concerts convey their knowledge to young artists from Izmir through workshops and master classes. Two of the successful young people participating in the workshops attend the Siena Summer Jazz Master Classes in Italy with scholarships in cooperation with the Siena Jazz Foundation and İKSEV. To date, 21 young people have benefited from this opportunity. In addition, the official poster of the festival has been selected for the last 17 years with the Jazz Poster Competition, which has been organized for young designers and where talents from all over Turkey participate.

THE MOST VISITING EXHIBITION IN THE WORLD
More than 5 million visitors for the 31st Tehran Book Fair is a unique number of visitors which cannot be seen in any other exhibition, and has introduced a worldwide record in the field of exhibitions.

The Flying Turtle Award includes gold and silver medals and badges awarded to selected books of each year indicated in the Flying Turtle List. The Flying Turtle Special Medal is also awarded for a person’s range of activities over the years.
The Flying Turtle List is a list of the top books in each season for Iranian children and adolescents. These books are selected by a team of critics, experts and children and adolescent authors, reviewing the books in each season. Books are listed according to written guidelines and clear principles and criteria and they receive a gold or silver medal. Each year, the reviewers and policy-makers of the list, review these criteria based on the contemporary requirements as well as the viewpoints and critiques of experts, and announce them in a text entitled Principles, Rules of Procedure and Criteria of The Flying Turtle List and Medals.
Evaluation and classification of books
Books that make their way to the list are categorized as follows:
1 - Books valued at six turtles, which conform best to the announced criteria and in addition, there is a remarkable feature in their content or form.
2 - Books valued at five turtles, which conform best to the announced criteria.
3 - Books valued at four turtles, which relatively conform to the announced criteria.
4 - Books valued at three turtles, which, while having the literary values mentioned in this text, do not contradict with the cultural criteria mentioned.
Entry criteria for the list and receiving a medal
1 - Achieving a personal style and the ability to create a new world and a unique atmosphere;
2 - Correspondence and appropriateness among the book components, including content, language, text format, graphics, preparation, materials used and book printing.
3 - Paying attention to the language capacities, innovating in the field of Persian language and helping its expansion and dynamism.
4 - Linking with literary background, the possibility of going beyond literary traditions and opening new horizons.
5 - Innovation in presenting new literary forms and new proposals in the field of children’s literature in Iran and the world.
6 - Paying attention to the accuracy and impartiality and up-to-dateness of information in informational books, including books relating to religion, humanities, science and education; besides taking care of innovation in writing style, graphics, type of materials and printing.
7 - Respecting the Iranian people values and refraining from making fun of values of Iranian people and ethnic groups.
8 - Paying attention to the life of Iranian children within the framework of national borders and simultaneously, as a member of the international community.
9 - Paying attention to the critical spirit and thought and highlighting questioning spirit.
10 - Respecting the individual differences of children and resisting the homogenization and assimilation of children and taking care of their sense of liberation.
11 - Paying attention to the complexities of the real world of the child, the wants and needs of today’s children, and avoiding simplification and short-sightedness or imposing the adult world on children.
12 - Showing respect for universal human values, such as peace and security, tolerance and dialogue, respect for and empathy for human beings along with respect for other organisms, opposition to any discrimination, showing respect for the rights of all human beings especially children, as well as special needs children, and respect for the environment.
Types of Medals
1 - Special medal: The special medal is made of copper metal and is copper-colored. This medal, unlike other Flying Turtle medals awarded to a single work, is awarded for the range of an individual’s activities over the years. This medal is given to veterans and influential figures whose activities are in line with the Flying Turtle standards.
The special medal is awarded subject to obtaining at least two-thirds of the votes in the jury panel.
2 - Gold medal: This medal is made of a suitable metal and gilded and is awarded to the top books that at least two thirds of the members of the jury vote for them. According to the Flying Turtle regulations, a maximum of three books receive a gold medal each year.
3 - Silver medal: This medal is made of a suitable metal and is silver coated. It is awarded every year to the books that deserve appreciation according to the Flying Turtle standards and two thirds of the judges present at the meeting, vote for them.
4 - Remembrance: As much as possible, every year a book that has not been seen in its publication period but its value and importance has been recognized in subsequent years, will be mentioned by stating the reasons.

Fajr Poetry Festival was launched in 2006. The first two rounds were non-competitive and only great poets were acknowledged. From the third round, the festival became a competition event and from the eighth round, its scope expanded and its status changed from a “national” to an “international” festival. This festival was handed over to the Iranian Poetry and Fiction Literature Foundation from the ninth round, and this major literary institution is in charge of its implementation.

The purpose of this award is to introduce children’s literature creators and agents in the domestic and international arenas.
The outstanding work plaque of the Children’s Book Council with the Little Black Fish medal is presented to the creators and publishers whose works have the following characteristics:
• A work whose literary-informational quality (quality of story text, poem and non-fiction text) is announced in the five-star review teams and its artistic quality (image quality and page layout) has a ranking of three stars and higher.
• A work whose artistic quality is announced in the five-star image review team and its literary-informational quality has a ranking of three stars and higher.
• For the groups of publications, electronic publishing and children, the structure of the work (literary and artistic quality and other considerations) ranks five stars.
Plaque of Appreciation
The Children’s Book Council plaque of appreciation is awarded to encourage authors, illustrators, translators, editors, etc. whose works have these characteristics:
- A prolific creator whose annual works (based on council’s fiscal year) are four stars or higher.
- A work that addresses new topics, the concerns of today’s children and adolescents, and problems of those people who have received less attention, such as minorities, LGBTQ+, people with extraordinary powers, and so on.
- A work with salient literary-informational quality.
- An imagery or illustration work by an Iranian illustrator with salient images.
- A rewritten or recreated work that creatively connects the old work to today’s generation.
- A non-fiction work with a creative method of presenting information, both direct and indirect.
- Works on the subject of art, games and indigenous entertainments of Iranian ethnic groups as well as group and participatory games.
- A translated reference work that has paid special attention to Iran.

The plaque is also awarded to publishers with the following characteristics:
• A publisher who has published more than 50% authored works in a year.
• A publisher whose 80% of annual published works are copyrighted.

Qualifications
The received works in each of the five sections will be included in the assessments under the following two topics:

Works with the subjects related to the household of Imam Reza (A.S.) [Hazrat Jawad al-A’imma (A.S.), Hazrat Husayn b. Musa al-Kazim (A.S.), Hazrat Ahmad b. Musa al-Kazim [Shah Cheragh] (A.S.), and Hazrat Fatimah Ma’suma (S.A.)].
The works to be sent should be published within the years 2017 and 2018.
The works to be sent can be in non-Persian languages, too.
Every applicant is required to send three copies of his/her work to the secretariat.
The works sent to the secretariat will not be returned.
Every applicant may send more than one work.

Judgement criteria
1 - A work published for the first time in the year before holding the even
2 - Influential in improving the country’s literary level
3 - Having values that are consistent with the goals mentioned in the award’s Articles of Association
4 - Having the right structure and language and content appropriate to the four areas of the award.

Saadi Literary and Artistic Festival is held for the first time in Iran to discover, train and develop the latent potentials of children, adolescents and the youth. This festival is held every year by the Research Institute of Analytical and Comparative Literature of ISRA Foundation.
This festival was launched in March 2019 at national and international levels with the aim of attracting the participation of children, students, college students, teachers, professors and those interested in literature and art throughout the country.

The first awards presentation for distinguished achievements in the film industry granted by Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association - the precursor of today's Hollywood Foreign Press Association - took place in early 1944 with an informal ceremony at 20th Century Fox.
Other unique awards that have been discontinued over the years were the World Film Favorite, from 1951 to 1980 and the Newcomer Award, which had several different names during its lifespan from 1948 to 1983.
Today, the Golden Globes recognize achievements in 25 categories; 14 in motion pictures and 11 in television. January 5th, 2020 will mark the 77th Golden Globe Awards.

Giffoni International Film Festival is one of the most well-known children's film festivals in the world. It takes place in a small Italian town of Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Southern Italy, close to Salerno and Naples. Started in 1971 every year over 2,000 children attend the festival from several countries around the world. During the festival, children and teenagers watch the movies, learn about the filmmaking process, and are called to judge them and award the best ones with prizes.

The San Sebastián International Film Festival is an annual FIAPF A category film festival held in the Spanish city of Donostia-San Sebastián in September, in the Basque Country. Since its creation in 1953 it has established itself as one of the 14 "A" category competitive festivals accredited by the FIAPF, of which it has one of the lowest budgets. It has hosted several important events in the history of cinema, such as the international premieres of Vertigo, by Alfred Hitchcock (who attended the Festival) and the European premiere of Star Wars. It was the first festival attended by Roman Polanski and has helped advance the professional careers of filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, Bong Joon-ho and Pedro Almodóvar.

As one of the oldest film festivals in Asia, the global reputation of the HKIFF was built on the pioneering work of programming Asian films and its retrospectives when Asian and Hong Kong cinema were not well known to the international community. Built on a solid reputation for programming, the HKIFF became the model for many subsequent film festivals around the region.

International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) offers a high quality line-up of carefully selected fiction and documentary feature films, short films and media art. The festival's focus is on recent work by talented new filmmakers. However, there is also room for retrospectives and themed programmes. IFFR actively supports new and adventurous filmmaking talent through its co-production market CineMart, its Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and other industry activities.

The BFI London Film Festival is an annual film festival founded in 1957 and held in the United Kingdom, running for two weeks in October with co-operation from the British Film Institute. It screens more than 300 films, documentaries, and shorts from approximately 50 countries.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was founded in 1927 and is the world's preeminent movie-related organization, comprising more than 9,000 accomplished individuals working in cinema.

Throughout its 74-year history, the Locarno Film Festival has occupied a unique position in the landscape of the major film festivals. Every August, for eleven days the Swiss-Italian town of Locarno, right in the heart of Europe, becomes the world capital of auteur cinema.

The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the largest publicly attended film festivals in the world, attracting over 480,000 people annually. Since its founding in 1976, TIFF's mission is "to transform the way people see the world through film".

The Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale, is a film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in West Berlin in 1951, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the "Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. It has the largest public attendance of any annual film festival.
The European Film Market (EFM), a film trade fair held simultaneously to the Berlinale, is a major industry meeting for the international film circuit.

The Sundance Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by the Sundance Institute. It is the largest independent film festival in the United States. It takes place each January in Utah, Salt Lake City, and acts as a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. The festival consists of competitive sections for American and international dramatic and documentary films, both feature films and short films, and a group of out-of-competition sections.

Tehran animation Festival is a competitive festival that is taking place biennially by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. The main idea is to promote animation and broaden the cultural interchange.

The Cannes Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world. Founded in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May). The festival was formally accredited by the FIAPF in 1951.
It is one of the "Big Three" major European film festivals, alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy, the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany, as well as one of the "Big Five" major international film festivals, which consists of the three major European film festivals, the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, and the Sundance Film Festival in the United States.

The Venice Biennale has been for over 120 years one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world. Established in 1895, the Biennale has an attendance today of over 500,000 visitors at the Art Exhibition. The history of the La Biennale di Venezia dates back from 1895, when the first International Art Exhibition was organized. In the 1930s new festivals were born: Music, Cinema, and Theatre (the Venice Film Festival in 1932 was the first film festival in history). In 1980 the first International Architecture Exhibition took place, and in 1999 Dance made its debut at La Biennale.

The Moscow International Film Festival is the film festival first held in Moscow in 1935 and became regular in 1959. From its inception to 1959 it was held every second year in July, alternating with the Karlovy Vary festival. The festival has been held annually since 1999.

The SXSW Film Festival celebrates raw innovation and emerging talent from behind and in front of the camera. Featuring provocative dramas, documentaries, comedies, genre standouts and more, the festival is known for its high caliber and diverse program and its smart, enthusiastic audiences.

The Tribeca Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Productions. It takes place each spring in New York City, showcasing a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. Each year the festival hosts over 600 screenings with approximately 150,000 attendees and awards independent artists in 23 juried competitive categories.

The Telluride Film Festival (TFF) is a film festival held annually in Telluride, Colorado during Labor Day weekend (the first Monday in September).

The Cinekid Festival is the largest international film, television, and new media festival for children aged 3 to 14 held at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It started as a small children's film festival and has now grown into a large organization that develops activities for children in the areas of film, television, and new media throughout the year. These activities are presented alongside the festival, whereas the festival itself screens films from all over the world and a selection of the best television programs for children. It also organizes several new media activities. Each year the festival is attended by over 50,000 children, parents, and (international) guests.

The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the world's largest documentary film festival held annually since 1988 in Amsterdam.

The Busan International Film Festival held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The first festival, held from 13 to 21 September 1996, was also the first international film festival in Korea.

The Torino Film Festival was born in 1982 as an International Youth Cinema Festival, or more simply Youth Cinema. Founded by Professor Gianni Rondolino, the festival stands out from the beginning for its attention to new forms and new trends in cinema, becoming a reference reality in Italy and abroad. Year after year it establishes itself as a place dedicated to supporting independent cinema, first and second works, documentary production and linguistic experimentation, as well as carrying out research work on the history of cinema through numerous and in-depth retrospectives.

Started in 1997, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has grown into one of the biggest film festivals in Northern Europe and busiest regional industry platforms, hosting more than 1000 guests and industry delegates and over 160 journalists. The festival screens around 250 features and more than 300 shorts and animations and sees an attendance of 80 000 people annually.

As of 2014, the festival holds the FIAPF accreditation for holding an international competition program which puts the festival into the so- called A-category of film festivals, alongside other 14 festivals in the world.

The century-old film culture and film industry has wrought a rich film and cultural foundation for the city of Shanghai. In 1993, the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) was born in the tide of reform and opening up. In 1994, it was recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations as the first and only international non-specialized competitive film festival in China.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and the most prestigious such festival in Central and Eastern Europe. It is one of the oldest A-list film festivals (i.e., non-specialized festivals with a competition for feature-length fiction films), a category it shares with the festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, San Sebastian, Moscow, Montreal, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Among filmmakers, buyers, distributors, sales agents, and journalists, KVIFF is considered the most important event in all of Central and Eastern Europe.

Abstracts of up to 500 words should be sent to: 2022conference@isils.net by 31 October 2021. All received abstracts will be read by a joint committee including senior members of ISILS and the Governance Programme at AKU-ISMC. The committee will select twenty abstracts. Acceptance letters will be sent out by 30 November 2021.

If selected, each paper will be allocated 20 minutes for presentation at the conference. The conference language is English. At the time of the conference, all speakers must be ISILS members (for membership dues: www.isils.net).

Speakers are expected to attend the entirety of the conference. Accommodation and meals will be provided by the Governance Programme at AKU-ISMC. A limited fund to support scholars who do not have access to institutional funding will be available to cover travel costs. Please indicate if you need this financial support when applying. Speakers should however operate on the assumption that funds for travel to and from the conference are their responsibility.

We are aiming at holding the conference in person at the Aga Khan Centre in London, but we are also looking to accommodate presentations by speakers who will not be able to travel because of COVID restrictions.

If you wish to participate in the conference, please send an email to team@idhn.org with a preliminary title, abstract (150-300 words), and your academic affiliation. The deadline has been extended to Friday, October 15, 2021.
We will select four to six presentations for our conference. Each presentation will be 20 minutes long and followed by Q&A for 10 minutes.
We will hold the meeting online on ZOOM; the access code and link will be sent to you in the network’s newsletter. We will schedule our conference to accommodate presenters from all time zones. This schedule will correspond with the morning hours in the Americas and evening hours in Europe and the Middle East.

Proposals should be sent in the form of a one-page abstract, before May 15ᵗʰ, 2021, by email to secretariat@ideo-cairo.org (subject of the email: “Proposal for the Cairo Qurʾān conference”).

While being open to the public, this conference is conceived as a place for work and scientific debate. Accordingly, those selected will be asked to send 3 to 4-page summary of their contributions to the other members of their workshop (by September 15ᵗʰ), to follow the entire conference, and to participate as a “discussant” in another workshop than the one of their contribution (and therefore to read in advance the documents that will be sent to them for this purpose).

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was created in 1960 and takes place at the beginning of June in the town of Annecy, France. Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998. It is one of the four international animated film festivals sponsored by the International Animated Film Association.

Fajr Film Festival is the most important film festival in Iran, which has been held in Tehran every year since mid-February 1982. So far, 39 periods of this festival have been held, the last of which was in 1399. The festival is organized by the Farabi Cinema Foundation under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

The Chopin Competition is the most important musical event in Poland and one of the most important musical events in the world. Apart from its huge role in popularising Chopin's music, it discovers the greatest pianistic talents, providing young musicians with the most effective start in their international career. It is a source of multicultural polarisation, which the world observes in various interpretations of the music of the brilliant composer.

Sharq Taronalari is one of the largest musical and cultural festivals in Central Asia. Held every two years in Samarkand’s Registan Square since 1997, this festival brings together the most talented singers, dancers, and musicians to celebrate art from around the world. Sharq Taronalari is recognized in the UNESCO International Cultural Events list, and is a popular event for those looking to learn more about Uzbekistan and its heritage.

The Iranian Folk Music Festival can be considered as the most widely held and the most important music festival in Iran. The presence of the best musicians with various ethnicities such as Kurd, Turk, Arab, ‌Baloch, etc. together with many original music performances coming from each ethnicity’s distinctive history and background gives this festival a unique diversity and also represents the unity of different ethnic groups with different languages, dialects, and cultures in Iran.
Preserving the originality of different Iranian ethnical music and familiarizing the young generation of Iran and the world with this rich heritage are the main objectives of this festival. The Iranian Folk Music Festival is held annually in Kerman, a historic city with rich culture, historic monuments, unique pristine nature, and hospitable people, which adds to this festival’s attraction. The historic sites provide the festival with exclusive spaces for music performances.
This festival, on its 12th round, is on 7-10 November 2019 and hosts about 200 musicians, both singers and players, with their solo and ensemble performances from all around Iran. The festival also includes research-based meetings and research based concerts by both Iranian and foreign ethnomusicologists.

The National Festival of Youth Music, is a music festival in Iran that highlights Iranian music performed by young musicians. The festival took place for the first time in December 1999.

Fajr Music Festival, Iran’s most prominent Music Festival, is annually held in Feb. in different sections, wherein many renowned national and international musicians perform in diverse genres.
