Ashura music
Product Info
In this book, the author, while looking at the historical mourning ceremonies of Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein PBUH, has studied Ashura music.
According to Zahedi, religious music in Iran is divided into four branches, which are: fasting, lamentation, call to prayer and supplication, and taziyeh and similitude. Accordingly, three of the four general branches of religious music are related to Ashura and Imam Hussein (as).
In this book, Zahedi mentions famous lamenters and roza singers such as Seyyed Mahmoud Vaezi, Lesan Taleghani, Etemad Shirazi and describes their work as a branch of religious music. In this regard, Zahedi has used the words of professors such as Ruhollah Khaleghi and books such as "History of Iranian Music" as a witness and source to validate his statement.
